Hi there! Welcome to our humble abode. Not sure where to start on The Quad? You've come to the right place.

The Quad is a blog. "What's that???!" you say? A blog is a list of posts published in reverse chronological order. This means that as Doug and Gavin post new items (news, commentary, random), the latest ones show up on top.

You can also subscribe to The Quad
The easiest way to subscribe is by email. Just type in your email address in over on the left hand sidebar and click submit. Don't worry - your email address won't be sold or released accidentally - it's handled by a professional feed email service (Feedburner).

You can also subscribe using an RSS reader. An RSS reader is essentially an inbox of items for all of your RSS feeds. Many blogs as well as other online services create "RSS Feeds," all of which you can view in your RSS reader. A popular RSS reader is Google Reader, which you already have if you use Gmail. To subscribe using Google Reader, click the Add to Google button on the left hand side under Subscribe. To subscribe with any other online service or program, click Subscribe in a reader. Other ways to view our content
You can always search the entire site by using the search box at the top of each page. You can also use the month and day links in the left hand sidebar to browse all posts quickly. Finally, if you read a post on a certain topic that you are really interested in, you can often click on that particular category near the end of the post (for example, 'news'), and it will display all of our posts that have that label. For example, News, Advice, College of Engineering, and Free stuff.
